課程概述

103 52410 近代歐洲閱讀文化史
相對閱讀活動在過往今來之於人類社會和人類文明發展的重要性,閱讀史的研究卻出現得相當晚。又,相較於文學史、思想史,閱讀史如何定義自身的研究領域?依據哪些文獻資料?在過去三十年,歐美閱讀史研究者取之書籍史、文化史、書目學以及文學批評的長處,針對歐洲史上有關讀者是誰?閱讀什麼?為何閱讀?在哪裡閱讀?如何閱讀等問題,提供了豐富的研究成果;這些具體的研究成果,尤其促使學界不再僅僅關注作者或文本,而能夠反省文學或思想作品的傳播環境,乃至讀者的接受。本課程將以近代歐洲為範圍,帶領同學一方面深入了解在這段時期歐洲社會所形塑出的閱讀行為,以及閱讀活動對於社會產生的影響。另一方面俾使同學掌握閱讀史研究的理論反省,以具備從事閱讀史研究的基礎能力。 

課程目標
本課程將以近代歐洲為範圍,帶領同學一方面深入了解在這段時期歐洲社會所形塑出的閱讀行為,以及閱讀活動對於社會產生的影響。另一方面俾使同學掌握閱讀史研究的理論反省,以具備從事閱讀史研究的基礎能力。 
課程要求
每週上課之前,須根據問題設計(共五個問題,請見「指定閱讀」)完成閱讀進度的內容,並撰寫課程報告大綱,作為課程參與成績。
